“Karma” is a non-film single that he and Yuvan Shankar Raja would release together, he said in the summer of 2015. He wrote the soundtrack and background score for Sakka Podu Podu Raja, which starred Santhanam.

Disputes
Silambarasan has been involved in a number of disputes, mostly because of his candidness.

Music
The 2010 soundtrack CD for his movie Vaanam featured the song “Evan Di Unna Pethan,” which Silambarasan sung. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music, and Silambarasan and Yuvan co-wrote the lyrics. The song’s offensive lyrics caused a lot of backlash. The songs were deemed “chauvinistic” and “demean women” by a Chennai-based women’s rights group, which also sent a statement to Silambarasan.

Furthermore, restriction was demanded on the grounds that “music needs to appeal to larger sections than to the ‘thrill-seeking’ youth who are often misguided into ‘cheap thrills’ because of such songs.” Nonetheless, a number of well-known figures from the movie business came to Silambarasan’s defense, claiming that there had previously been more offensive moments in movies. and that censorship was not “the ideal way out in democracy” because there were “bigger issues in society.”

Silambarasan declared that a final version of “The Love Anthem” will be published after a promotional version was released in 2011. He also stated that he wanted to include international singers Akon and Rihanna in the project. He then traveled to Los Angeles in January 2012, where he recorded a solo version of the song at Studio Zappa with keyboards by music producer Elan Morrison.

The project’s producer, Silambarasan’s father T. Rajendar, filed a police complaint against two agents for allegedly deceiving his production firm into establishing relationships with the overseas artists in question after the international artists were not signed on. The Rajendar observed that despite assurances to recruit Akon, David Guetta, and either Rihanna or Nicole Scherzinger for the project, sound editor Ramji Soma and Canadian businessman Talvinder Bathh had taken Rs 12 million ($200,000) from his company and not returned it.

With the help of Tracktical Entertainment, Silambarasan was eventually successful in getting Akon to work with him on a different version of the song in May 2013. Although Silambarasan said in early 2014 that the song would be published before the end of 2014, the most recent version of the song has not yet been made available. Although he was busy with other obligations, he stated in an interview conducted in June 2015 that the venture would soon be revived.

A song known to the media as the “Beep Song” was leaked online and went viral in December 2015. The song, which had a derogatory song about women that had been beeped out, was first said to have been penned and sung by Silambarasan and composed by music director Anirudh Ravichander. Later, Silambarasan emphasized that he had written, composed, and sang the song himself, while Anirudh denied any involvement in it.

He also expressed uncertainty over how the song was leaked and posted online. The song drew harsh condemnation from celebrities and advocacy groups. In T. Nagar and other locations, women activists staged demonstrations in front of the Silambarasan residence. In the meantime, the All India Democratic Women’s Association’s Left Wing (AIDWA) claimed that the filed a complaint against Silambarasan in Coimbatore for being sexist and disparaging to women.

The Racecourse Police Station filed a formal complaint against Anirudh and the actor. Similarly, they were the subject of a similar case filed by the Egmore Cyber Crime Police. On his Twitter page, Silambarasan declared that he would not run away and would be subject to the law. On December 19, 2015, he was summoned to the Racecourse Police station, but he did not show up. Silambarasan has transferred the matter to the Madras High Court for anticipatory bail out of fear of being arrested.

As a result, the Madras High Court declined to grant an interim stay for Silambarasan’s arrest. Silambarasan made an appearance before the Coimbatore City police in late February 2016 at connection to the “Beep Song” issue and asserted that Anirudh had nothing to do with the song, which he had written years ago when he was depressed about a failed love.

Connection to the directors
During the production of his breakthrough film, Manmadhan (2004), Silambarasan encountered issues with director A. J. Murugan, who was widely believed by the media to have “ghost-directed” the picture. Later, Murugan claimed that Silambarasan and his family had been consistently denying him the story credits, the Hindi remake rights, and the sequel rights, among other profits from the movie.

After being demoted, Murugan served as an assistant director on Silambarasan’s film Vallavan (2006) and was scathing of the actor’s insistence on meddling with the function of the director. During the 2007 filming of Kettavan, G. T. Nandhu, another Silambarasan assistant director, too had a falling out with the actor.

Nandhu was the original director of the production, but he later claimed that Silambarasan had aggressively stepped in on his responsibilities and had removed his name from the movie’s promotional posters. The movie was shelved because the two could not resolve their disagreements despite finishing a schedule.

filmmaker Tarun Gopi criticized Silambarasan’s participation in the film shortly after their collaboration on Kaalai (2008) failed, claiming that the actor seriously obstructed his ability to perform as a filmmaker. Gopi said that the actor was “unprofessional” and that he was unable to identify the movie from his original script.
