Toxic Till The End Lyrics Song

Call us what we are
Toxic from the start
I can’t pretend that I was in the dark
When you met my friends
Didn’t even try with them
I should’ve known then that you were

Jealous and possessive
So manipulating
Honestly impressive
You had me participating

Back then
When I was running out of your place, I said
I never wanna see your face
And then
I couldn’t wait to see it again
We were toxic till the end

Uh huh
Cuz even when I said it was over
You heard, Baby Can you pull me in closer? You were
Plotting how to stay in my head
We were toxic till the end

Ladies & Gentlemen
I present to you the ex

His favorite game is chess
Who would ever guess
Playing with the pieces in my chest
Now he’s on the screen
Saying don’t leave
You stole that line from me
Cuz  you’re just

Jealous and possessive
So manipulating
Honestly impressive
You had me participating
Back then
When I was running out of your place, I said
I never wanna see your face
I meant
I couldn’t wait to see it again
We were toxic till the end

Uh huh
Cuz even when I said it was over
You heard Baby can you pull me in closer?
You were
Plotting how to stay in my head
We were toxic till the end

End end

I can’t forgive you for a lot of things
For not giving me back my Tiffany rings
I’ll never forgive you for one thing, my dear
You wasted my prettiest years
Back then
When I was running out of your place, I said
I never wanna see your face
I meant
I couldn’t wait to see it again
We were toxic

Uh huh
Cuz even when I said it was over
You heard, Baby Can you pull me in closer? You were
Plotting how to stay in my head
We were toxic till the end

End end
We were toxic till the end
End end

Regarding her creative approach, Warren said in an interview with the online music newspaper Smashed: “I believe that songwriting, particularly for pop, is sometimes perceived as a factory or assembly line process, and I have to combat that… Good songwriting, and I don’t just mean insightful or thought-provoking songs, has a true art to it, in my opinion. Even the majority of the straightforward, lighthearted pop songs are expertly crafted, and occasionally even more so.

As a composer and artist, Warren’s stated goal is to produce pop music with the conceptual foundation to promote constructive social change. She says in a Tisch interview: “I’m excited about this profession since pop music can be an An extremely important and potent forum for change and influence. The Chainsmokers’ song “Paris” from their debut album Memories… Do Not Open also features her uncredited vocals. She states, “I think for the first song introducing their album, they just wanted it to be a Chainsmokers thing and not featuring anyone.”

In order to promote their new album, the Chainsmokers decided it would be better to release it as a single without any features. “It ended up kinda working out for the best ’cause there was all this mystery of who was singing it!” she says, despite not being given credit for the vocals. In 2019, Emily worked with record producer Ian Kirkpatrick and Caroline Ailin wrote the popular song “Don’t Start Now” by Dua Lipa.

The track “Capsize” by American pop duo Frenship marked the beginning of Warren’s career as an artist. Warren was a featured vocalist in addition to co-writing the viral song. On December 8, 2016, she performed “Capsize” with the duo on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, her first time appearing on television.

The Chainsmokers, an American electronic pop duo, released their debut album, Memories…Do Not Open, on April 7, 2017. “The One,” “Don’t Say,” “My Type,” and “Wake Up Alone” were among the four tracks that Warren was listed as the author of. In addition, she contributed uncredited background vocals on “Paris” and served as the lead vocalist on “Don’t Say” and “My Type”. This isn’t just some flash-in-the-pan writer, despite her youth and experience. She’s going to be amazing for a while, in my opinion.
