A Jat Sikh family raised Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu in the Mansa district of Punjab, India’s village of Moosa. His mother is Charan Kaur, and his father is Balkaur Singh.

In 2016, Moose Wala completed his electrical engineering studies at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana. He looked up to and took inspiration from rapper Tupac Shakur. In the sixth grade, he began to listen to hip-hop music. Harvinder Bittu taught him music in Ludhiana. Moose Wala relocated to Brampton, Ontario, Canada, as soon as he graduated. an overseas pupil. He was a student at Humber College while he resided there.In 2017, while residing in Brampton, Moose Wala released his debut single, “G Wagon”. He received a nomination for “Issa Jatt”: Best New Age Sensation at the 2018 PTC Punjabi Music Awards. His debut movie soundtrack single, “Dollar,” for the movie Dakuaan Da Munda, was released in August 2018.

In 2018, after a string of hit songs with music publisher Humble Music, he started putting out tracks on his own. The first was “Warning Shots,” a diss track directed at Karan Aujla’s song “Lafaafe.”

His first album, PBX 1, was released in October 2018 via T-Series and is a pop record with hip-hop undertones. In addition to winning Best Album at the 2019 Brit Asia TV Music Awards, the album debuted on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. The majority of his tunes were subsequently released under his own label after the album, as well as tracks from other artists.

“Legend” was released by Moose Wala under his own record label in February 2019, and it was the recipient of the Brit Asia TV Kuflink Best Track of the Year Award that same year. The song was also listed in the top 40 singles chart for New Zealand.

He, Maninder Buttar, and Karan Aujla were listed as the top three Punjabi artists by Spotify in 2019. Moose Wala and Nseeb appeared on Prem Dhillon’s song “Old Skool” in January 2020.53 “Tibeyan Da Putt” was the next song, peaking at number 8 on the Indian Apple Music charts and topping the iTunes charts. Snitches Get Stitches, his second studio album, was released in May 2020 under his own label.

He released the track “Dear Mama” on his mother’s birthday that same month. He and Amrit Maan worked together on the song “Bambiha Bole” in June 2020, which In under 24 hours, the music video had over 10 million views. On the Apple Music charts, the song peaked at number one in India and made it into the top 50 in both Canada and New Zealand. It debuted in the top 5 on the global YouTube charts and topped the UK Asian chart.

He formally established his record company, 5911 Records, on August 31, 2020. He and Shooter Kahlon released “Game” in September 2020, and it became his first single to appear on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

Moosetape, Moose Wala’s third studio album, was released in May of 2021. The album was listed on Recorded Music NZ’s New Zealand Top 40 Albums chart. The album’s singles appeared on several foreign charts, including as the Billboard Global 200, Both the New Zealand Hot Singles and Canadian Hot 100 charts. He and Mist gave a performance at the Wireless Festival in London on September 12, 2021. The first Indian performer to play at this festival was Moose Wala.

The EP No Name by Moose Wala, which included AR Paisley, Mr. Capone-E, and Sunny Malton, was released in April 2022. It debuted at No. 73 on the Canadian Albums chart of Billboard. The Last Ride, Levels, Never Fold, and 295 are among his tracks that have charted on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 list. “Levels” peaked at 32, “The Last Ride” at 26, and “Never Fold” at 97.

Additionally, three of his songs—”The Last Ride” at peak position 103, “295” at peak position 73, and “Levels” at peak position 195—were included in the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. June 2022: In honour of the Satluj Yamuna connection canal, his single “SYL” achieved a posthumous peak of 27 on the Canadian Hot 100, 81 in Australia, 3 in India, and 200 on the Global Excl. US chart.

In motion

Under his own production firm, Jatt Life Studios, Moose Wala made his feature film debut in Punjabi cinema with the film Yes I Am Student. Gill Raunta wrote the screenplay and Tarnvir Singh Jagpal directed the movie. Moose Wala made an appearance in Teri Meri Jodi in 2019. He revealed Gunah, a new movie, in June 2020. He unveiled the teaser for his next film, Moosa Jatt, which is helmed by Tru Makers and features Sweetaj Brar, on August 22, 2021. He revealed his upcoming movie, Jattan Da Munda Gaun Lagya, on August 24, 2021.With Amberdeep Singh directing, the film was scheduled for release on March 18, 2022.

Individual life

Moose Wala resided in Moosa, his hometown, where his admirers would frequently travel to see him. Because of his strong bond with his grandmother, he honored her wish to preserve his hair, which is significant in Sikhism because his father was unable to do so after an accident.
