He released five albums in 2002, with the soundtracks to the movies Kalusukovalani, Manmadhudu, and Sontham becoming the biggest hits at the time. These movies were well-received both artistically and commercially, and DSP’s musical compositions played a part in that success.
Sontham and Manmadhudu were considered the year’s biggest musical hits. The majority of the tracks on these albums were well-liked by fans.
A writer writing for Manmadhudu review, claimed that “Music by Devi Sri Prasad is superb. Even the background score is quite fantastic. The songs’ picturization has improved Manmadhudu’s auditory quality.” Devi wrote the soundtrack for the patriotic movie Khadgam that same year. Devi Sri Prasad is the composer of “Meme Indians,” as Krishna Prasad Chigurupati of The Times of India stated.
