About G V Prakash Kumar :

Indian music composer, playback vocalist, actor, and producer G. V. Prakash Kumar was born on June 13, 1987, and is well-known for his work in Tamil movies. Veyil (2006) from S Pictures was his debut feature, and by the early 2010s, he was well-known in Tamil cinema. In 2015, he made his acting debut in Darling. Throughout his film career, he has received three Filmfare Awards, three SIIMA Awards, and one National Award.

In 2013, Prakash wed vocalist Saindhavi, a classmate. In 2020, the couple welcomed a daughter, Anvi, into the world. On May 13, 2024, the pair declared their split. His debut vocal appearance was on the soundtrack of Gentleman (1993), a Tamil film directed by S. Shankar and scored by his maternal uncle, A. R. Rahman. Director Pa Ranjith gave Arivu the chance to write the climax song “Urimaiyai Meetpom” for the Rajinikanth-starring film Kaala based on his contributions to The Casteless Collective band. Arivu, who is 24 years old, is the youngest songwriter to ever contribute to a Rajinikanth film. Therukural: 2019 Debut Album
Therukural (Tamil: Voice of the Street), Arivu’s debut album, was released in 2019. Songs like “Kalla Mouni” and “Anti-Indian” were composed to draw attention to political issues.

Arivu and singer Dhee collaborated to write and perform verses that depict colonial exploitation, the relationship between the community and nature, and Tamil landless laborers. Arivu’s moving lyrics and the song’s distinctive fusion of traditional and modern components caused it to become a viral hit on streaming services, garnering half a billion views worldwide. Enjoy Enjaami’s popularity elevated Tamil independent music and established Arivu as a promising new performer on the global scene. His lyrics and delivery, which combine modern rap with the ancient Oppari genre, are regarded as One of his genuine signatures.

Arivu delves into the complicated past of his grandmother Valliyamma, a Sri Lankan immigrant who worked on tea plantations, in Enjoy Enjaami. The lyricist, Arivu, claims that the song was composed as a celebration of his heritage, transporting listeners to a period when humanity was a young civilization that coexisted peacefully with the earth and the various life forms that shared it. Later, DJ Snake remixed Enjoy Enjaami for Spotify Singles in honor of World Music Day.

Ambassa, a 10-piece band that was formed in 2022, is also led by Arivu. The group also incorporates contemporary Western musical styles including beatboxing and rapping. as well as traditional Indian musical traditions like gaana and oppari.
