State-level Kabaddi player Saravanavelu “Velu” lives with his family in Chennai. His mother Janaki spoils him, while his father DCP Sivasubramaniam chastises him frequently for putting his education on the back burner and choosing Kabaddi over academics. Though Bhuvana, Velu’s younger sister, is a perceptive and intelligent schoolgirl who frequently gets Velu into problems with their father, she still loves him. Velu is once sent to a relative’s wedding in Trichy, but he sneaks away to play kabaddi in Madurai instead of attending the wedding.

A vicious Madurai gang boss named Muthupandi kills Dhanalakshmi’s elder brother when he turns down Muthupandi’s proposal of marriage because he wants to wed her. In an attempt to get revenge for his brother’s murder, Muthupandi also murders Dhanalakshmi’s second brother. The father of Dhanalakshmi becomes scared by Muthupandi’s deeds and begs Dhanalakshmi to give up her money and her academic credentials in order to leave Madurai and live in peace with her uncle in the US.

Dhanalakshmi is captured by Muthupandi as she tries to flee. But while Dhanalakshmi is getting ready for a Kabaddi competition in Madurai, Velu spots her and saves her by beating Muthupandi and driving her to Chennai. Without telling his family, Velu brings Dhanalakshmi to his house and locks her in his chamber.

Home Minister Rajapandi, together with Muthupandi and his father, requests that Sivasubramaniam look for Dhanalakshmi and the alleged kidnapper. Soon after, Velu gets Dhanalakshmi a passport and airline tickets, and the two fall in love. When Sivasubramaniam learns that his son appears to be the abductor, Velu and Dhanalakshmi manage to get away from him and Take cover inside the lighthouse.

Before their Kabaddi match versus Punjab in the National League final, Velu and his buddies arrive at the airport in time for Dhanalakshmi’s departure. Enraged that Velu is participating in the Kabaddi event despite being wanted for criminal activity, Sivasubramaniam arrives to the stadium to arrest Velu. However, at Bhuvana’s plea, he chooses to arrest Velu after the Kabaddi match.

When the game is going on, Velu realizes he has fallen in love with Dhanalakshmi and starts to miss her—only to see her in the stadium. When Velu sees Dhanalakshmi, his lack of concentration in the game is immediately replaced by his best efforts, which ultimately aids in his team’s championship victory. Later on, Velu’s father arrests him, but is then halted by Muthupandi, who has been inspired by Dhanalakshmi to prove his mettle and wants to fight Velu.

Velu is initially subdued by Muthupandi, but he eventually regains his power, overcomes Muthupandi, and embraces Dhanalakshmi. After regaining consciousness, Muthupandi attempts to kill Velu, but he is fatally electrocuted by a floodlight that was damaged during the struggle.

His other daughter Srivardhani is a playback singer. He first received training in carnatic voice before enrolling in Master Dhanraj’s classical guitar and piano lessons in Chennai.

With the song En Anbe from the 1989 Tamil film Poomanam, Vidyasagar established himself as an independent film composer. Vidyasagar began his musical career with a Tamil film, and he later became well-known in the Tamil music scene. In 1989, he also began writing music for Telugu films and Telugu theaters.

1993–1994 saw Vidya Sagar as approached by Arjun, a Tamil actor-director with whom he has collaborated on numerous musical movies, including Karna, Subash, and Jai Hind. Together, they produced well-known Tamil melodic songs like Malare and Paadu.. Paadu.

Vidyasagar mostly focused on Malayalam films from 1996 to 2001. Vidyasagar also wrote the music for a few Tamil films around this time, including Uyirodu Uyiraga and Nilaave Vaa. Three Kerala State Film Awards went to him. It was reported that Vidyasagar said, “I believe that it was a God sent opportunity for me to work in one of the finest film industries” in reference to his time working in Malayalam cinema.

He began writing music for films in 2001, including the Tamil films Dhil, Run, Dhool (ithunondu muthathile), Ghilli, etc., and the Bethlehem films Summer, Meesha Madhavan, Kilichundan Mampazham, Pattalam, In Malayalam, C.I.D. Prakash Raj signed Vidyasagar in 2007 for his production company Mozhi, which starred Jyothika and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Music from the Radha Mohan-directed movie, including Kaatrin Mozhiye and Sevvanam, was highly appreciated by critics. One unique feature of Mozhi’s songs was their total absence of duets. Sujatha Mohan was the lone female voice in Katrin Mozhi. Two of Vidyasagar’s most prominent films in 2008 were the Hindi version of Priyadarshan’s Mere Baap Pehle Aap and Vijay’s Kuruvi.

Vidyasagar released three Malayalam films in 2012: Diamond Necklace, Thappana, and Ordinary. He was signed by Priyadarshan in 2013 for the Malayalam film Geethaanjali, which starred Mohanlal in the title role. Lal Jose’s other releases of the year were Jannal Oram, the Tamil version of Ordinary, and Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum.

With the completion of his ten-film partnership with composer Ilaiyaraaja, veteran director Sathyan Anthikkad worked with Vidyasagar on the movie Oru Indian Pranayakatha. About Sukhwinder Singh :

In a recent interview, singer Sukhwinder Singh refuted Ram Gopal Varma’s assertion that he wrote the song “Jai Ho.” Varma had stated that Sukhwinder Singh, not AR Rahman, was the song’s original composer and that it was written for Subhash Ghai’s “Yuvraaj.”

Sukhwinder Singh denied the allegations in an interview with Hindustan Times, stating, “AR Rahman wrote the song; I just sang it. Ram Gopal Varma ji is one of the biggest celebrities in the world; he must have been misinformed. Shayad unhe kuchh galat pata chala hoga. Rahman thought this song, penned by Gulzar sahab, was good. He then finished it at my Mumbai studio located in Juhu. He created Subhash. Listen to it,(director Subhash Ghai). It was the first time I had sang the song.

Though he liked the song, Subhash Ghai had to cut it because it didn’t match the plot. He asked for adjustments as well. “After that, Rahman departed. I felt depressed. I asked Gulzar sahab to come back for ten or fifteen minutes. Singh recounted, “He asked why, and I said, ‘He has written it so well, let me try singing.'” He tried singing it then, and he sang it the way that audiences have heard it since.

“I forwarded it to Rahman sahab, who subsequently arranged for Danny Boyle, the director of “Slumdog Millionaire,” to hear it. Additionally, Rahman honored his word and sent another tune to For “Yuvvraaj,” Subhash ji,” Sukhwinder Singh disclosed. Furthermore, he mentioned that he recorded the song in a just thirty minutes.
