Valar Valar

About ARM Movie:

A grandmother tells her granddaughter the Chyothivilaku mythology as a bedtime story at the start of the film. A sacred lamp known as Chyothivilaku was created from a melted mixture of an asteroid that had previously collided in the ancient Haripuram region. The Edakkal King at the time ordered the asteroid to be used to make the lamp, and because of its extraordinary abilities, he brought it to his palace.

A terrified King summons a Haripuram warrior named Kelu Nayanar, also known as Kunjikelu, to assist in rescuing his subjects and his nephew Mana Varma, the heir apparent, during the invasion of the country by thugs. Kunjikelu asks for the Chyothivilaku as a present after defeating the thugs. The Kunjikelu brings it to Haripuram after the king gives his approval. A woman from a lower caste named Chothi is the object of Kunjikelu’s amorous attention.

Chothi is promised by Kunjikelu that a temple will be constructed and that the lamp will be available to everyone without exception. Haripuram is experiencing a smallpox outbreak in the meantime. Kunjikelu saves an affected Chothi who is about to die. While Kunjikelu is impacted, Chothi lives. He receives a heartbreaking hidden letter from Mana Varma when he is bedridden. Kunjikelu discovers that despite his desire for the temple to be free from discrimination, members of the lower caste are not permitted in.

Kunjikelu dies after witnessing all the suffering. As the story comes to a close, the grandmother shares the legend of how their community became known as Chyothikkavu. When the granddaughter inquires about Chothi’s pregnancy, the grandmother brushes it off, stating that Chothi had gone to Nagercoil after recovering from smallpox. Maniyan, a descendent of Kunjikelu, was a cunning and corrupt thief who ultimately stole the Chyothivilaku but was killed by the populace.

Maniyan’s grandson, M. V. Ajayan, is an electrician in the 1990s who harbors a secret romantic interest in Lakshmi, the daughter of Chathutti Nambiar. He bears the burden of his grandfather Maniyan’s negative reputation as a robber, and the locals primarily make fun of him for coming from a family of thieves. When he was younger, he stole a bunch of keys as a joke, but his grandma advised him to return them. That was his first and last theft. as well as mom. When things get tough, his friend K. P. Suresh defends him.

When a man named Sudev unexpectedly appears on their property pretending to be a photographer with the goal of taking the Chyothivilaku and selling it to the British archives, he finds himself in a challenging predicament. Sudev gives Suresh the command to trap both himself and Ajayan. Sudev discloses that the temple’s Chyothivilaku is a fake, and he is relying on Ajayan’s ability to locate the authentic Chyothivilaku before to the temple festival. He looks everywhere in the vicinity of Chyothikkavu but is utterly unsuccessful.

However, Lakshmi requests that he look into locations where only Maniyan and a man like him could enter. He arrives at a mountainside and enters a cave close to discovers cave murals on the walls of a waterfall.

Maniyan went into hiding years ago. To assist in catching him, the villagers summoned in policeman Nanjappa Chowta. Nanjappa mistreats Maniyan’s wife, Manikyam, since he is upset that Maniyan was not present. After beating Nanjappa, Maniyan questions him about who arrived first—the cops or the robber.

Saddened by his wife’s condition, Maniyan decides to steal the Chyothivilakku to show the villagers that Manikyam is more dignified than the lamp they revere. After he succeeds, he enters the cave where Ajayan visited years later and declares his victory. However, Naanu, a blacksmith and Thekkumpadan Kollan’s descendent, explains telling him that this isn’t Chyothivilakku. It turns out that Kunjikelu was told in the letter he received that the Chyothivilakku was a fake. After making arrangements to locate the actual one, Maniyan departs for the royal palace.

Maniyan finds the light after navigating a number of barriers and traps. He then takes the two of them to Manikyam and says he would take the fake lamp to the temple, where it was stored and revered. He gets stuck on the way, and the villagers, furious that he attempted to take the lamp, attempt to murder him. The villagers corner him at a cliff close to the waterfall after they chase him up a mountain. He won’t let go of the lamp.

However, they use his wife and daughter to intimidate him. After putting the false lamp back down, he releases go and plunges down the waterfall, where he dies.

Ajayan currently consents to take part in a Kalaripayattu competition, but on Sudev’s orders, he withdraws at the last minute. He intends to flee because he was unable to locate the lamp. He goes to Chathutti Nambiar’s residence to meet Lakshmi and flee, but Chathutti Nambiar traps him in a room after locking him there. With their caretaker’s assistance, he escapes, but the villagers pursue him into the same slope where his grandfather fell and died. They previously displayed Maniyan and Naanu.

We were talking about the plan after concealing the lamp when Naanu revealed that since he is immortal, Maniyan is as well. Ajayan falls down the waterfall as well, but instead of dying as Naanu claimed, he lives and uses a key his mother gave him days before to hunt for the light in the hopes that it would be helpful. Ajayan knocks up Sudev and his friends after a brief altercation, and Chyothikkavu receives the original lamp back.

The film concludes with Ajayan riding beside the vehicle in which Lakshmi was ordered to be taken away by her father, implying that Ajayan’s second robbery was nothing more than his true love.(The Second Theft by Ajayan is displayed on the screen after this.)
