Yashvardhan “Yash” Raichand is an entrepreneur worth millions of dollars. Together with his mother and mother-in-law, he resides in Delhi with his wife Nandini and their two boys, Rahul and Rohan. Because of their ancestry, their household has a strong patriarchal culture and adheres to stringent norms.
Yash has trusted both of his boys to uphold patriarchal customs including early enrollment in boarding school, pursuing an MBA at a university, and parents selecting marriages from the same socioeconomic status. At an early age, Rahul was adopted by Yash and Nandini. Everyone in the home, aside from Rohan, is aware of this.
Adult After finishing his studies in London, Rahul comes home and falls in love with Chandni Chowk’s lively Anjali. Soon, Rahul finds out that she loves him back. Nevertheless, his father would never be in favor of the match because she comes from a low-income family.
As per their family custom, Rohan, who is still a youngster, is sent to boarding school at this period. Yash declares that he wants Rahul to wed Naina, his childhood friend from a better social status. Later, she finds out that he is more in love with Anjali than she is with her.
Yash is furious over Anjali’s status after learning about her. Rahul vows he won’t wed her. But he finds out that Anjali’s father passed away, leaving her and her sister Pooja without a parent. Yash is hostile, but he marries her on impulse. Reminding Rahul that he is adopted, Yash rejects him when he brings her home. This hurts Rahul, so he says a heartfelt goodbye to Nandini and heads out of town. The real reason Rahul left home is never revealed to Rohan.
After attending boarding school for ten years, Rohan finally finds out from his grandmothers why Rahul departed and that he is adopted. Rohan promises to bring the family back together after realizing how much anguish this separation has caused his parents.
After discovering that Rahul, Anjali, and Pooja have relocated to London, he flies there while pretending to be Yash in order to continue his studies for an MBA. Krish is Rahul and Anjali’s young kid.
Pooja, a cutting-edge diva, attends King’s College in London. She reunites with Rohan, who she knew as a youngster after Rahul and Anjali fell in love. She backs him in his efforts to return Rahul and Anjali to their native country. Rohan pretends to be the Indian brother of Pooja’s acquaintance. After Rohan poses as “Yash” to conceal the truth, Rahul allows him to remain with them because he can no longer recognize his greatly altered adult brother when he sees him after such a long period of time.
For the first time, Nandini confronts Yash and tells him that disowning Rahul and dismantling the family was a mistake. Rahul and Anjali are persuaded to return home by Rohan and Pooja following the death of their grandma. When Rahul approaches Yash, Yash apologizes for disowning him and cries as he begs for forgiveness, telling Rahul he has always loved him. Nandini extends a warm welcome to them.
After Yash apologizes to Rohan for keeping him apart from Rahul for so long and to Anjali for not accepting their marriage at the time, Rahul extends his forgiveness to Yash. Following their love affair, Rohan and Pooja wed. The family celebrates the wedding of Rahul and Anjali, who are now blissfully married, belatedly. They also celebrate the marriage of Rohan and Pooja’s wedding.
