Khairiyat poochho,
kabhi toh kaifiyat poochho
Tumhare bin deewane ka kya haal hai
Dil mera dekho,
na meri haisiyat poochho
Tere bin ek din jaise sau saal hai
Anjaam hai tay mera
Hona tumhein hai mera
Jitni bhi hon dooriyaan, filhaal hain
Yeh dooriyaan filhaal hain
Oh,

kabhi toh kaifiyat poochho
Tumhare bin deewane ka kya haal hai
Dil mera dekho,

Tere bin ek din jaise sau saal hai
Tumhari tasveer ke
sahare mausam kayi guzaare
Mausami na samjho
par ishq ko humare
Nazron ke saamne
main aata nahin tumhare
Magar rehte ho har
pal manzar mein tum humare
‘Gar ishq se hai mila
Phir dard se kya gila?
Iss dard mein zindagi khushhaal hai
Yeh dooriyaan filhaal hain
Oh, khairiyat poochho,
kabhi toh kaifiyat poochho
Tumhare bin deewane ka kya haal hai
Dil mera dekho,

About CHHICHHORE:
Raghav Pathak, a teenage son of divorced middle-aged father Anirudh “Anni” Pathak, is a budding engineer who is awaiting the results of his entrance exam so he can enroll in the Indian Institute of Technology. Anni, who is not aware that Raghav is under a lot of pressure, gives him a bottle of champagne on the eve of the results and promises to celebrate his victory with him.
Raghav’s concerns about what will happen if he doesn’t make it are only heightened by the bottle of champagne. Raghav discovers he has not qualified for the IIT-JEE exam results the following day while reviewing the results at his friend’s apartment. Fearing that he will be labeled a “loser,” he purposefully falls from the balcony to end his life. yet lives, albeit in a deadly condition. He attempts to console his ex-wife Maya Pathak at the hospital after Anni rushes there. She accuses Anni of failing to recognize Raghav’s level of stress.
Maya and Anni are informed by Dr. Sunit Dev “S. D.” Kasbekar that Raghav’s condition is getting worse since he lacks the will to live. After discovering photos of his college years, Anni, who realizes that his son fears being labeled a “loser,” starts telling Raghav stories about his time there in an effort to give him hope again. Raghav wants to think that his father was a “loser” once. A flashback to his first day of college at the National College of Technology campus in 1992 occurs during the recount.
Hostel 4, also known as “H4”, is renowned for harboring “losers,” and Anni is given a room there. The worst mess food on campus is one of the many unidentified reasons why the residents of H4 have been given this designation. He applies to switch hostel blocks since he is unhappy, but a clerk tells him that it might take some time. Gurmeet “Sexa” Singh Dhillon, a senior H4 student, stabs Anni in the butt when they first meet, but they quickly become friends. Anni characterizes Sexa as a hypersexual senior who is constantly fixated on pornography.
Anni and Maya are alarmed when Raghav has a convulsion at this point, but Dr. Kasbekar informs them that he is now conscious, albeit in the same state. However, when he inquires about “Sexa,” Anni, certain that Raghav was listening, enters with Maya to speak with Raghav, who questions whether the narrative is real.
Persuaded that he only needs evidence to support his scheme, Anni eventually calls Sexa, who is now employed as a consultant in London, and tells him about the catastrophe. An initially shocked Raghav recognizes Sexa and puts all of his worries to rest after he cancels his job commitments for the week and takes a plane to Mumbai to be with Anni and Maya again. while Sexa carries on with the narrative.
Sexa tells the story of Anni’s desperate attempt to switch hostels, and how they first see Maya in 1992 when they meet at a canteen.
During a lunch break, Sexa tells Anni and Maya about how, in 1992, he and a friend named Himanshu “Acid” Deshmukh received a humorous pro-ragging request from the father of a fresher named Sundar “Mummy” Shrivastava. Sundar is a young introvert who is heavily reliant on his mother and is tied to her apron strings. Sexa’s accent has strengthened after Mummy joined him in the present day and began working as an executive in the US. When Anni and Sexa both reveal that Acid has arrived,
Raghav is told that Acid is “bad news” by Mummy. Then, according to Anni, Acid was a school star who started failing his college exams and became resentful and profane. Sexa’s classmate joins them in the hospital after a quick Acid introduction. Even though Dr. Kasbekar repeatedly tells them that Raghav’s brain is swollen and that his condition isn’t getting better, they all take a moment to remember the good times they had in college, showing Raghav their photo album and telling him about Anni’s newfound relationship with Maya at the time.
In 1992, however, a very senior student named Raghuvir “Raggie” Chalkar, a well-known hostelite of Hostel 3 (also known as “H3”), which is regarded as a top-notch hostel, and the complete opposite of H4 expedites Anni’s application and offers him a spot at H3. However, while talking to Maya about this, Anni has a sudden change of heart and declines the offer, much to Raggie’s dismay. Raggie then reveals that H4 super-senior Derek D’Souza, a well-known athlete, has been “rotting” for the past three years after also turning down an earlier offer.
Derek is revealed to be a chain smoker, and as he reunites with Anni, a video of their first meeting back in 1992 plays out, whereby Derek confesses that Raggie is a full-blown college bully who inducts outstanding students from other hostels into H3 and claims all credit for winning “GC”.
An initially astonished Anni soon discovers that H4’s “loser” status originates from its continuously worse results throughout the years in the “GC,” or General Championship, an annual athletic competition in which students from all ten of the institute’s dormitories participate in 30 sports over the course of two months.
They start a series of trials, humorously failing in the process, after Anni persuades Derek, who was first doubtful, to give it one final go. Derek responds to Anni in the same manner that Dr. Kasbekar responds to him and Maya after their attempts to identify the proper players fail: it must be all about trying since there is no other option.
During a conversation back at Anni’s house, Derek, Acid, Sexa, and Mummy inform Anni and Maya that they will be sticking together around to support them after Anni asks them to go because of the bad news about Raghav’s health. Anni and the “losers” discover their long-lost member, Sahil “Bevda” Awasthi, at Anni’s door right before everyone is ready to gather around the dining table for dinner. The following day, Bevda joins the group at the hospital, and as suggested, he is the group’s “Devdas-inspired drunkard” and a chess champion.
They then narrate how, in 1992, while getting ready for the GC, the six boys make the decision to give up the things that mean the most to them until they win the GC after losing a run of games in various sports, with the exception of carrom tournaments, in which Mummy takes them to the quarterfinals. Anni, in his bid, chooses to avoid Maya at all costs and temporarily boycott her. But when Bevda relapses and is admitted to the hospital, this strategy backfires, leaving the H4 team feeling hopeless. But after reflecting for a while, Anni quickly devises three strategies to outsmart rival hostels.
His strategies are effective, and H4 has won numerous significant matches as a result. However, a violent altercation between Raggie’s gang and the top losers during a celebration hangout at a bar results in Mummy hurting his finger, which causes Mummy to lose the carrom semi-finals. While Acid comforts a sobbing mother, Anni’s mind immediately considers the absence of representation in a weightlifting competition, and he selects Abhimanyu “Danda” Rathore, an H4 hostelite,
to compete in the 42 kg division after losing 2 kg through training under Anni and Derek’s guidance. Soon after his amusing triumph, the hostel celebrates Bewda’s return from treatment. After his comeback, Bevda continues to lead H4 in chess points, Derek’s athleticism helps H4 tremendously, and eventually, for the first time in college history, H4 advances to the finals and faces H3.
In order for Raghav to have his surgery the following morning, Dr. Kasbekar requests Anni, Maya, and their friends to leave him at this time. They all agree to wait patiently for the “climax” as a result. Following their arrival back at Anni’s house, the pals Pointing to the bottle of champagne he had purchased for Raghav, Anni discloses during their conversation that he most likely failed to educate him how to handle setbacks.
When Maya saw Mummy calling his son Vedant and promising to buy him a bike regardless of the outcome of his exam, she concludes that Anni is a great father and makes amends with him following an emotional breakdown. When Anni’s phone rings in the middle of the night, Dr. Kasbekar tells him that Raghav has experienced severe convulsions and that an operation is necessary right now. Dr. Kasbekar initially objects to Anni’s request for ten minutes to continue the story, but eventually agrees after Maya backs him up.
They pick off where they left off, In 1992, after knowing about H4’s tactics, a frustrated Raggie chooses to sabotage Bevda by providing him a bottle of booze and purposefully having his friend hurt Derek’s foot. When Anni and Sexa are supposed to pick him up, Bevda first gives the impression that he is intoxicated.
After Anni leaves for the basketball final, he starts to lose the game until he abruptly admits that he isn’t intoxicated and that he let his opponent to make a grave error by sacrificing his knight. Bevda eventually wins the chess competition after Acid and Derek both win the relay final. When they meet up with Anni again on the basketball floor, Anni is given a penalty shot and attempts a 3-pointer, but his shot nearly misses 1 inch, resulting in H4’s narrow loss of the GC.
Returning to the present, Raghav is appalled by this loss and asks Anni if he felt like ending his life at that precise moment after losing a fight this close. Anni then explains in a flashback to 1992 that Raggie publicly called them “champs” instead of “losers” for the first time, generating a loud wave of cheer for H4 and congratulating the team for putting up a good fight.
Anni, Derek, Mummy, Acid, Sexa, Bevda, and Maya respond with a “NO” in turn. Anni then tells Raghav that the H4 hostelites were never referred to as “losers” again and that a person’s performance does not determine whether or not they are a “loser” instead of one’s own work. As he is being taken to the operating room, Raghav sees Anni, Derek, Mummy, Acid, Sexa, Bevda, and Maya in their younger guises encouraging him to keep going. Anni tells him that he tried very hard and asks him to put on a brave front and face all of his obstacles in life, including the operation.
A year later, a fully recovered Raghav goes to his first day of college. He asks the audience not to inquire about the name of his college or his rank since he is happy that he is able to live life to the fullest. When he arrives at the new campus, he chuckles at his senior’s inquiry since he sees adult ghosts of his parents and the rest of the ‘losers’ look at him.
